Kounting House, an old fashioned rock shop, is the finest in southern Idaho. We have over 40 tons of rock, including: jasper, agate, petrified wood, fossils, crystals, mineral specimens and gem stones (both cut, cut and polished, and in their natural state -- just as they came from the earth). We have bulk rock sold by the pound, slabs sold by the pound or slice, cabs, facit rough, one of a kind jewelry, fetishes, animal carvings, eggs, spheres, gemstone beads, findings, equipment and lapidary supplies. We also carry the occasional art piece and books by local authors. Our showroom, located in 4143 Meridian Street North, King Hill (two doors south of the post office) will are open Thursday and Fridays from March 21 through Christmas, unless we are at a show. (We attend county fairs, art in the park shows and rock shows during the summer months and the Harvest Time Festival at CSI the first weekend of November.) We close down for the winter at Christmas and reopen in the spring. If you want to visit us -- call ahead at (208) 293-4340 to make sure we are there.
