We met at the gas station in Rogerson. Made a
quick stop at Rabbit Springs so everyone would
know where it is then caravanned to Jackpot and
across the desert to Bog Wood Hill at the Texas
Springs area of the mountains south east of
Jackpot. Everybody found something, Gene Estes
found some really nice pink agate limb casts with
root ball attached, Dixie Reale gathered a plastic
bucket of surface gathered small limb casts. She
plans to use them for grab bags for kids. About
the time everyone was getting tired and wanting to
go home, Shep struck something big in his
diggings. He and Gene spent the better part of the
next half hour digging out what they hoped would
be a big limb cast, but it turned out to be a big
chunk of root ball. It will cut up into nice
pieces but wasn't the log they hoped for.

On
the way home they took the scenic route into
Jackpot by way of a  big ranch, the airport and
golf course.
